How does a car come into existence...?

When anyone came to hear the question like-

Who was the inventor of the car?

The first name which comes to their mind would be “Karl Benz”.But the history of the automobile is very rich and dates back to 15 century when the famous person named "Leonardo da Vinci" was created various models for transport vehicles.

If we look at the evolution of the automobile since from 18 century, there are many types of automobiles they are steam-powered, electric-powered, hydrogen-powered, gasoline or petrol powered and finally diesel-powered. Earlier accounts may give this credit to "Karl Benz" because of creating the first patented automobile. But before him, many other inventors played their roles in this history of automobiles.

  • Ø  In the year 1769 "Nicholas Joseph Cugnot" who was a French Inventor developed a self-propelled mechanical land vehicle of steam-powered which moves at a speed of 3.6 km/h.

  • Ø In the year 1803 "Hayden Wischett" developed the car with an internal combustion engine named de Rivaz engine with hydrogen gas as a fuel which was designed and developed by the Franco-Swiss inventor "Isaac de Rivaz".

  • Ø In the year 1832 the first electric vehicle was invented by a Scottish inventor called "Robert Anderson”. The vehicle was a horseless carriage powered by non-rechargeable primary power cells. These cells work as a single-use battery. He used crude oil to generate power in the battery. Although the exact date of his invention is uncertain Anderson did this remarkable breakthrough in the field of science that happened sometime between 1832-1839.

  • Ø
In 1885 a German mechanical engineer named "Karl Friedrich Benz" (also called Karl Benz) designed and built the world's first practical automobile which used a gasoline-powered internal-combustion engine. The vehicle was a three-wheeled patent motor car and the patent number is 37435 it may be regarded as the birth certificate of the automobile. His company produced its first four-wheeled car in 1893.

  • Ø Finally "Henry Ford" who was an American Industrialist started manufacturing Ford model-T cars from 1908 and would become the first automobile company for the mass production of cars, which revolutionized the automobile industry. As a result, Ford sold nearly 15,000,000 cars. It might be the reason for the Ford motor company to become the world-famous business leader in the automobile industry.
